Get in the Loop With Stamped-On Hair Color

You’ve heard of foils, capping, and balayage (aka painting on hair color), but have you ever seen color stamped on the hair? That’s just what hairstylist Brig Van Osten, winner of season three of Bravo’s Shear Genius, did. Using various-sized round objects as stamps, Van Osten applied Pravana’s intensely pigmented Vivids (in yellow, violet, green, and wild orchid) onto a model’s ultrablond strands. The result was a bold burst of color, with circular shapes intertwining to create a whimsical effect. It’s not the kind of technique that’s easy to achieve at home, so you’ll definitely want to head to the salon if you’re lusting after this look.
