This is something I think is long overdue. For the month of July, Italian Vogue will be featuring 4 different covers all with black models, and all of the editorial features will focus on black women in the arts and entertainment industry. Amazing! This has never before been seen from such a huge fashion magazine, and it doesn’t get any bigger than Vogue. I am going to personally suscribe to Italian Vogue from now on since reading this story. To date I only susbcribe to the American Vogue, maybe they can learn a thing or to from this fantastic story. Even though it does cost $265.52 for 12 issues, I think it’s more than worth it. Plus I’ll save a few dollars every month as opposed to buying from NYC City news stands. Read the full story

Once again I’m taking two of the hottest models ever to walk the runways and sizing them up. I chose these two because in many ways both Tyra and Heidi live parallel lives. Tyra and Heidi are both bona fide fashion moguls with their own successful fashion inspired t.v. shows, former Victoria’s Secret models, high ranking fashion runway models, and ironically both of these divas have dated Seal the musician, although Heidi is now his wife and baby’s mama. Oh yeah and Heidi does Germany’s Top Model also, (thanks to Tyra) ..but Heidi doesn’t seem to have any problems with getting Tyra’s leftovers because she seems to have a happy, healthy marriage to Seal.

These supermodels seem to have the Midas touch when it comes to business and marketing their image. They earn some of the highest incomes in the fashion industry even though they are both basically retired. They also do it mainly without controversy and scandal like so many of their younger counterparts. Wow, these two divas are smart, beautiful, sexy and modern day icons in their own right. So lets break it down and see which one reigns supreme.

I was shocked and disappointed that Fatima did not win, I truly believed that is should have been down to Fatima and Anya, but I am happy for Whitney. It’s not just the obvious importance of a beautiful plus sized woman winning for the first time, but she has a great personality and I think it’s important for her to be seen and adored to show the world that high fashion isn’t just for the emaciated stick figures that dominate the runway.

No one doubts that Fatima and Anya will not  have too hard of a time finding work because they both truly do look and photograph like high fashion models. They are two of the closest ANTM contestants that has ever seemed to be  fashion magazine quality models. I think Whitney’s beauty, confidence and personality is why she won, because even with all that I do believe she should have been second place tops because the other two were so runway ready from the moment the entered the competition. The most annoying thing about Anya was her accent. I know Hawaiians speak very differently then the rest of us over here in the mainland, but she better thank God that she has an amazing personality and stunning beauty because her  accent is weird and extremely draining to listen to.

Was it just me or did Paulina seem bitchy in the finale episode? She told Anya she looked dumb and she was quite condescending towards Whitney’s photos in panel. Maybe it was that time of the month or pre-menepousal angst, but I wasn’t feeling the tude at all. She just seemed bitter, maybe she was pissed because Fatima got axed, she was always drooling over her, like me. Fatima is simply stunning.

So congratulations Whitney, you worked hard and I hope she enjoy’s the $100,000 prize. I hope that they don’t stick her in some tacky Lane Bryant type of print ad, I want to see an actual top model do some real ad campaigns, and since she is a plus sizer maybe this can be the start of something new. Take caution stick figures, you’ve got a real woman, with real curves, and a perfect face breathing down your back!

John Galliano’s Cruise 2009 collection for Christian Dior brought out  A-List mommies Jennifer Lopez and  Christina Aguilera and their gaunt, sleep deprived looking husbands. The collection showcases ide, swathy gypsy pants, off-the-shoulder ruffled tops, loose baby doll dresses and a diaphanous crepe belted caftan with a fall that extended from the shoulders - along with empire-waist gowns and plenty of brightly colored tiered dresses in preppy colors like fuchsia, lime and tangerine rounded out this fairly standard issue collection of resort wear that will work well whether you’re lounging in St. Tropez, Palm Beach or Greece. After graduating from The Fashion Institute Of Technology in New York , Seth Cohen began working on Seventh Avenue. He is now a partner in the design house of Cesar Galindo. Together, with Cesar, they create couture cocktail evening-wear collections that are imbued with the technical artistry and masterful style of Galindo and the color and silhouette direction of Cohen.

Puff-sleeved blue pastel ankle length dresses , bare makeup-less faces, pouffe wave like bouffants, and the ugliest shoes you ever seen..this is the typical fashion style of a polygamist wife. How scary is that? It’s all the talk lately, these religious tards who are screaming for the right to have their inbred children back. In the grand scheme of things, I feel the most for the children, but at this moment I feel the worst for the women who have to wear those dreadful clothes. Think Little House On The Prairie meets Children of the Corn . At least people of the time of wagon wheels had no choice but to dress that way. These suckers dress like this on purpose!
