After making a name for himself with a niche perfume line, Hennessy branched out with a collection of deco-inspired evening bags late last year. This black lacquered plexiglass clutch gets its edge from a burst of gold metal marquetry, which the designer himself says is meant to represent “scratches left by the claws of an unknown creature.” A fitting description considering that I would put up a pretty good fight before I’d let go of such a stunning objet d’art.
